Thanks again to everyone who helped share the “Here’s to momma” page! I was so excited when the winner of the recent sharing contest decided to have something styled for her! I haven’t seen Michelle in nearly a decade so I was excited when she won! Michelle and I worked together a while ago when she was an intern. I love her ability to put a smile on someone’s face and that she isn’t afraid to stand up for what’s right. Hopefully these looks embody that personality.
As a college professor on the east coast, Michelle asked for something put together but comfortable for class and to move around campus. She shares similar budget style to mine and falls back on grey and black like we all do. But she was up for some color, too! I love these pieces and how they can work together to create several different chic work outfits and can transition to be worn casually or even for a night out.
First, here’s a glance at the look board. The links to the pieces used multiple times are listed here. The majority are under $25 and this oatmeal cardigan is on a great clearance deal for $6 now in this color!

http://shopstyle.it/l/xGND – black pants
http://shopstyle.it/l/xMkr – chambray pants
http://shopstyle.it/l/xG3G – oatmeal cardigan
http://shopstyle.it/l/xG23 – floral accent cardigan
http://shopstyle.it/l/xG7I – pointy toe loafer
http://shopstyle.it/l/xJm8 – wedge
I also use this simple layered necklace in some looks and left others without a necklace especially when using a buttoned up cardigan. I actually love statement jewelry but for work wear I tend to keep it more simple.

This heel may not be as practical to run around campus in, but would be great to pair with these looks and for an evening out.

First up are some put together pant looks that are comfortable and great for spring.
When I first sent Michelle the look board, she immediately responded to this dress and I have to agree! I love it, too. I think the side tie is a style that’s in but this dress is able to withstand the test of time while still being a unique piece.
Finally, use the dress for date night or even an upcoming special event. Add this simple layered necklace or grab your favorite statement jewelry. Paired with some sandal-style booties.

Enjoy, Michelle! And all of you that find some inspiration from today’s post!
